Für Mac Pros von Anfang 2008 gibt es ein EFI Firmware Update 1.3.

iPhone Gerüchte

10 Millionen iPhone2 sollen bereits geordert sein, soll Gartner Analyst Ken Dulaney heraus gefunden haben.

Außerdem soll das iPhone2 mit OLED-Display ausgerüstet sein was wenigere Strom verbraucht und so den höheren Bedarf des UMTS ausgleichen soll.

Looproumors berichtet von Video-Chat Möglichkeiten des iPhone2, was bei UMTS durchaus Sinn machen würde.

Und dann gibts noch Second Life auf dem iPhone zu bewundern. Allerdings läuft das nicht wirklich auf dem iPhone, sondern der Bildschirminhalt eines anderen Rechners wird auf das iPhone gestreamt.

Soweit also nix besonderes, wäre da nicht die Kleinigkeit das es sich bei dem iPhone um das Nachfolgemodel iPhone2 mit 3G handelt.

Das Ding ging bei eBay für geschmeidige 7.500$ weg.

Weil das einem "parts supplier" in Übersee gestohlen war und zum Verkauf in die USA geschmuggelt wurde hat Apple mal eben fette 55.000$ Rückgabeprämie für das iPhone2 ausgerufen!

Wer sagt da noch man kann im Internet kein Geld verdienen...

But there is more. Simply click the alarm clock icon next to a show and you'll be reminded shortly before it begins; if you wish, you can have your alerts delivered by Growl. Switch the channel of your Elgato EyeTV or Formac`s Watchandgo, or program it to record a desired show with one click.

There are lots of preferences. Group the channels as you like or create filters and the widget will remind you automagically of your favourite shows. Change the size of the widget and accomodate the fontsize, or click the titlebar to collapse the whole widget (Try holding [shift] while you do that...).

Convert Windows' PowerISO .daa file archives in OS X

Convert Windows' PowerISO .daa file archives in OS X: "I have trawled Google for hours looking for this problem. I was trying to unpackage a .daa disk image created in PowerISO on Windows. I didn't want to pay for the PowerISO application for Windows (and my file was over 300MB, which is the limit for the trial), so I was hoping to find a Mac alternative. Pages and pages of Googlism later, and I found the open source (GPL) DAA Converter.

DAA Converter converts the archive to an ISO disk image format that you can mount in OS X. It's working great on Leopard, and I can't see a reason it shouldn't work on Panther or later, as stated on their page.
