Miro 3.0.1 - Video RSS feed downloader/player. (Free): "

Miro 3.0.1
Miro (formerly known as Democracy Player) makes video on the internet way less frustrating and way more enjoyable. You can subscribe to channels of internet video, download videos, and watch them fullscreen, one after the other, all in one application. A built-in channel guide brings you new content every day. It\'s free and open for everyone to watch and to broadcast.

The Mac version of Miro uses Quicktime 7, which is built into the operating system, to play video. In addition, we use plugins for Quicktime that allow us to play even more video types. The Mac version can play MPEG, MP4, MOV, H264, Flash, Xvid, AVI, OGG, and more. Also, there is a free extension for OS X that will play Windows Media files seamlessly.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.0.1:
  • Subtitles! If subtitles are embedded or in the same folder as your video, they will be available automatically in a new drop-down menu. Or pick any subtitle file.
  • Faster Faster Faster! Miro is faster and snappier in all sorts of ways from downloading torrents to deleting lots of files. For example, launching Miro is over 150% faster! Downloading torrents is faster!
  • Louder Louder Louder! The maximum volume for videos is now at least twice as high. Really nice for laptops.
  • Edit file info - Easily change the title, description, and category of a file.
  • Play Externally - We\'ve added an option to play all files externally and a right-click menu for single items.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
