MKVToolPack 2.1 - Rip audio, video, subtitle tracks out of Matroska (mkv) files. (Demo): "

MKVToolPack 2.1
MKVToolPack... Rip audio, video, subtitle tracks out of Matroska movies, combining them into MP4, converting them into MOV.

Utilizing several command-line tools, MKVToolPack will let you create and manipulate multimedia files. MKVToolPack users can rip (or batch-rip) media tracks out of Matroska container movies. They can use these ripped raw stream tracks to create MP4 container movies. Also, use MKVToolPack to edit MP4 container movies by copying, cutting, pasting and trimming frames or deleting/inserting audio tracks and finally exporting (re-compressing) them to MOV and other media formats. Or create Matroska container movies with raw stream clips.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.1:
  • Many export requirements will now be validated. If a requirement is not met, a red icon appears with an explanation stated with Help Tag.
  • PackMOV: A dropped movie will not be opened without QuickTime 7 for both Leopard and Snow Leopard users.
  • All bevel buttons on the main window are replaced by pushbuttons, which are more reliable.
  • Fix: The default file name ended with a period when the user clicked on the Select button to set a different destination under PackMKV, SplitMKV and JoinMKV.
  • This release is made for Leopard (Mac OS 10.5) users. This version will run under Snow Leopard to the extent that the user is able to export movies. However, the application will put itself into an infinite loop after a movie export. The problem is caused by the IDE (integrated development environment) program we use.

  • REQUIREMENTS
    • Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
    • QuickTime 7.5 (No Pro upgrade is required).
