With Flip4Mac WMV Player, you can play Windows Media files (.wma and .wmv) in QuickTime Player and view Windows Media content on the Internet using a web browser.

Supported browsers:

Supported Applications:
In general, every QuickTime based Mac OS X application can interface with Flip4Mac WMV Components for QuickTime. Please find enclosed a list of common applications for import and export:
  • Final Cut Pro 5, 6 and 7
  • Compressor 2 and 3
  • Compressor 4 recommended for Final Cut Pro X
  • QuickTime 7 Pro Player
  • MPEG Streamclip
  • Episode
Note: QuickTime X does not support conversion using third-party plug-ins. For Snow Leopard and Lion users, we recommend installing QuickTime 7.6.6. Please see our compatibility chart for QuickTime Player versions and optional conversion tools.

  • Fixes an export scaling issue that causes video quality issues with source frame sizes not divisible by four.

  • sites and other problems with clicking and scrolling while in the plug-in.
  • Adds support for Windows Media scripting. Note that scripting only works with Web browsers running in
  • 32-bit mode. You may need to select "Open in 32-bit mode" in Finder's Info pane for Safari or Firefox for
  • scripting to work.
  • Fixes a warning dialog issue with DRM protected content.
